The racing rules for canoe and kayak dimensions saw a dramatic change when Congress decided to abolish the minimum
beam rule. We at Kirton Kayaks decided that this was the moment for a complete redesign of our range and we have
completed our first three K1 models and will during the course of Winter 2001 introduce new K2 models. However the new
ICF Rule does not preclude the use of the earlier designs in racing and the following three K2 designs remain in our
catalogue by popular demand.

This kayak has been in service for many years but is still a firm favourite with many crews particularly those who paddle the very long courses such as the Devizes Westminster Race where comfort in the boat is of utmost importance.
